Newbie needs help

Hi Guys, I'm new to Anime Studio and have bought Debut 10 to give it a try. I've been happily plodding along following the tutorials BUT I just cant get the "switch" to work! I follow the steps of creating a switch layer then nest two vector layers within it and when I click on the layers they alternate as I would expect BUT it doesn't create anything in the timeline, nothing. And of course nothing changes when I replay. The layers show up in the sequencer but again no change when I left click, double left click, right click on the layers button....What am I doing wrong? I know it works on my software because the pirate girl has a working switch. Any help will be gratefully welcomed

Welcome, Dingodan! If I'm understanding you correctly, I think the step you're missing is that you need to right click on the switch layer folder and select the layer you want (the selected layer is indicated with the checkmark).

....and select it from the drop down box! So easy once you know how LOL!
