Balloon Man Animation

Post by macmonkey_1975 »

Hi Everyone,
I've had Anime Studio for a while now, but have only just got the chance to put a little animation together. I must say i really love this software it's so user friendly and makes it really easy to tweak and change characters even in the middle of animating. And I am loving the smart bone dials :)
Anyways I hope that you like it.
Comments and suggestion are welcome.
Thanks for watching

Ha ha! Excellent! All the little observational touches really make it -- the eye movements, holding the balloon etc. Well done!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I really liked it. It has some details, like the pupils animation, which really make me believe it's a living character.
As feedback, I recommend you to move more the entire body (up, down, to the sides), remember he still having moving legs, even if we don't see them.
This animation needs and can resist a lot more exaggeration, specially when the character is blowing. Before his head explode, the body and the head could go down and the character could shiver a little (you can try with stagger keyframes). All that to give the sensation hi is making a big effort (big enough to blow his head).
Of course, it's just my opinion, it works very nice already :)

Great visual gag. The slumping at the end sold it for me.

Hi everyone. Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad that you enjoyed it :)
Many thanks for your feedback Victor it's very much appreciated. I completely agree with all of your suggestions especially the shiver before the explosion, I think it will bring a good sense of tension. I will post an update soon (I hope)
Thanks again everyone.
