transfer papagayo text to moho timeline?

Post by BA »

When animating a complex scene in Moho, the playback can slow down to the point where it's hard to tell which part of the dialogue is being spoken at any given moment.

When adjusting the timing in papagayo, we have the very useful tool of seeing the dialogue text spread across the timeline.

Is there any way of bringing this text into the Moho timeline? That way we wouldn't have to guess at which word is where, and it would be much easier to animate to the dialogue without relying on the clunky playback.

Well, I'd love too that Papagayo or some of his features be implemented in Moho some day (maybe when Moho has implement audio fetures), but for now I use a Note Layer for every frase into a Switch Layer to make easily and quickly appear the dialogue in the screen just when I want, very simple and useful, to me at least :) ...CIAO!

I don't think it would be to hard to write a little script that would take the text from the papagayo-file and place it on note-layers with the right durations. I have it on my rainy-day-list, but it have to rain a lot of days before I'm that far down the list.

Yeah, I'd have to put that on my list, too, but maybe I'll get to that sooner as I would find it damn useful. I can think of a few extras to add to it, but I won't mention them or I'll never hear the end of it 'til I do 'em. Simple file format so it shouldn't be hard to parse it out to note layers.
