i'd like to know if it's possible to hide a line in the time line and then make it reappear. to explain better: i have an arm that bends from straight to 90 degrees angle but to give it a full expression i want to be able to show the criss between the top of the arm and the forearm. is there anyway to do that without having to use switch layer? is it possible? HELP!!!

Myles had the perfect tutorials to get this, only that I lost the link long time ago... Maybe someone that knows what I'm talking about (myles i.e?) could put the link here... THANKS!
PS: If I've understand what are you talking about, basically you need to divide the arm in two shapes and two Outlines and play with the Shape and Outline order to get the results that you want, uf... is not difficult, but maybe (again) somebody could explain it better than I can, hmmm... sorry...

Hi!
I think Ramón is referring to the first part of my bone constraints tutorial for Moho version 4, which you can see here:
http://www-personal.monash.edu.au/~myle ... bones.html
Thanks, Ramón!
The tutorial is a little out of date, as Moho version 5 introduced the capacity to hide a segment of an outline.
The segment hiding feature is not animatable, although you can use a workaround by making a separate outline object for each segment of the outline where you wish to animate the visibility, and animating alpha/opacity to hide the separate outline segment object (I hope that makes sense).
In Moho version 5, you can break the arm (ouch!) into 2 fills with outlines, and just hide the segments of the outlines that cross the arm, rather than the version 4 equivalent, where you had to create 2 fills without outlines and 2 partial outlines.
Regards, Myles.

i am sorry myles you lost me a little bit--->
although you can use a workaround by making a separate outline object for each segment of the outline where you wish to animate the visibility, and animating alpha/opacity to hide the separate outline segment object do you mean i need to have a separate layer for the outline and then work on the opacity of it to make it disappear...?
my arm is divided in two shape (2 layer) the one on top (the forearm) of the other is the one with the small outline i want to make appear and dsisappear at will. i don't really know if i make sense, i checked your tutorial, it's close but not quite what i am after... i'll try this way with the opacity and i'll let you know. thanks again

I don't know if this will be the problem, but to can see the Opacity changes in Editing View (real time) you must check Tranparency in Display Quality Pop-Up window (lower-right corner of Main/Editing Moho window) if this is not the problem, remember that you only must go to the frame that you want to make the changes and modify the Alfa value in the Color Picker Window... Nothing can be wrong
...GOOD LUCK!
PS: to the changes make gradually be sure that your keyframe is not a Step one (try Smoth) with Right click over the created Keyframe...

No - same layer, same points, different outline "shape".dekka wrote:i am sorry myles you lost me a little bit--->

For instance, draw a rectangle, add an extra point to the top line, and give it a fill, but no outline. Now select just the 3 top points only. Select the Create Shape tool and you can create a separate "shape" that applies only to that line across the top of the rectangle.
Likewise, you can select every point except the extra one on the top line, and assign a different outline to all sides except the top.
Now you can select the top line and change its opacity separately to the other outline and the fill.
