Make an object trace a path

Hello everyone!

I'm a happy new user of Anime studio debut that recently have encountered some problems. Is it possible to make an object follow a path AND trace itself along the path. If I for example would like animate cursive hand writing, I could make a pen follow the path but how do I make it leave some traces?

Something like this? I do not know if debut has stroke exposure or follow path but that is what tools are needed to do it.
