Feedback on a Rig, Please?

Post by Seifo »

Okay, so this rig is basically a compilation of everything I've learned so far about rigging a bipedal character in profile, along with a sample animation. I'd welcome any and all constructive criticism! Just keep in mind this is basically a skeletal test; Smart Bones are only in place for the lower body, and the character design is fairly basic.

Hi Seifo, looks like a solid set up! Also great animation. The squash and stretch smart bone for double bounce walk is very clever. Might try that myself at some point 8)
Keep in mind that even though your rig is skeletally solid, which ever artwork you will apply later will potentially have other problems to solve, so if this is a practice run, you're kinda only half way  but nevertheless, nice work!

Yeah, art has always kind of been my weak point.  I may have to take lessons sometime. Thanks a lot for the feedback!
