Do the tutorials in the help section and if you run into something you do not understand or just cannot get to work, ask here and we will walk you through it.

I cannot stress enough how important doing the tutorials are.
Sorry for bad animation

I'm still relatively new to Anime Studio myself. What helped me the most were the official webinars and supplemented my knowledge by looking up user tutorials. I bookmarked everything so I could reference it later if I needed it.

I lurked here for quite some time and absorbed all I could. I never actually followed along with any tutorial/webinar but they were an immense help in learning how to properly rig and animate without too much trial and error.

After you watch a few webinars and get the hang of the user interface, then I'd suggest trying to make some image based simple cut out animations to make your friends and/or family laugh.

Mastery of anything takes time, focus and constant practice. As a general study it might be useful to pick up a copy of The Animator's Survival Kit which is a go to reference guide for beginners and experts alike.

There is two things you need to learn.
1; How animation works. The Animator's Survival Kit is the starting point. There are plenty of resources online, read and watch.
2; How Anime Studio works. Mark Bremen tutorial is one of the better ones because it take you through the program step by step with out skipping the major features of AS.

It goes on sale often or you can buy a month at a time.
