How do I Deselect a point?

Hello guys.
There are some situations when I'm selecting some points with "Create Shape" tool and two point are close together and I select one of them or multiple points wrong.there are two ways to modify that : 1-you can select your points from the beginning. 2-you can deselect the points that you don't want.
Now my question is how can I deselect a point or multiple points when I'm using "Create Shape" tool?

In AS10, Shift adds to the selection and Alt subtracts from it.
