SmartBone Shape Distortion Help!

Post by DK »

Hi all,
I really need some help with this file using Smart Bones and trying to get a 3D box to stay in the
right shape as it is rotated. Is there any way to correct this? I am combining several Smart Bone
movements and obviously some point positions are conflicting but I have no idea how to fix it?????

Thanks for any help,

There's bound to be distortion of two smart bones controlling the same points. You can either add a third smart bone that you use to correct this as needed, or you can use this awesome rig that automatically applies the third, correction smart bone: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=27453

Thanks Wes.
I did see that this morning and itwould work wonderfully if I knew what the hell was going on ...LOL!
I think Selgin summed it up with his comment about a tutorial might be in order for the less
technically minded types on the forum like me :)

Yeah, that technique is complicated. It took me a while dissecting the file to understand everything going on. But the results speak for themselves.
