I've just got Debut 11 and want to put a Mr Blobby style character singing one of my songs on you tube but have encountered some issues. Can you help please?
1) There is no option to create a parent layer. Is this because I imported png files or is hat ok and if so where is the menu item?
2) The wav file plays without vocals. Is that a setting.
) I have a mental block about code but the switch data file seems simple enough. Can I write it in word and what is the file extention?
Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Debut 11 teething problems
Debut doesn't support Group layers. But (assuming I've understood what you want to do) you can create a Bone layer and put your PNGs in that (and not add any bones to the Bone layer).
Bone

> png2

>> (png?) rest
>> (png?) AI
>> ...etc
If you want to lipsync a track that contains both score and lyrics, you can use papagayo (a free program- http://www.lostmarble.com/papagayo/) to create the switch data file to drive the mouth shape selection. Or you can write the .dat file yourself but if you use word you'll need to export as plain text (not a .doc / .docx)
