OK, this is the last quick test before bed, I set one of every layer to ADD layer blending mode, then created a new layer outside all the wormhole layers with a gradient radial with transparent inside, black outside, and set it to Hue. I need to basically redo the whole thing with some more unique renders, this is all based on one image rotated randomly then put through the wormhole treatment, I am guessing 4 unique layers with no random spin would keep the cycle from being a bit jumpy when restarting. But this was an AWESOME learning experience, and great fun. This is just the MP4 output from ASP, no composting with blur effects and stuff like the original. ASP is pretty awesome for this sort of stuff, once you get how to approach it. I think this came out rather well:

Hi guys, I tried following the instructions provided in the posts above, but I just couldn't get it to work. I couldn't figure out where the Y angle was or how to change it. Can you guys explain it with a little bit more detail? I might have missed something.

Ok, so the confusing part comes from this image:

In this image, it appears (To me) that by changing the Y angle, the layers can be placed behind each other, or (Away from the camera) which would be the job of the Z angle. But when I change the Y angles of the images to multiples of 3, as mentioned in the instructions, I end up with one image slightly higher than the other image, not placed behind it. So In my mind, in order to get the effect shown on the picture, I need to change the Z angle, but I don't get how to curve it. I'm sorry if I'm a bother, I just really would like to make this effect and you guys are the only source I could find.

The Z angle would only rotate the image, like a wheel. To stack stuff in Z space, you need to rotate around X or Y.

Just remember: the Z axis is the camera view.

Hi Chucky,
According to Lightwave (See Screenshot Below)
The 3D Axis are displayed from the front or camera view in matching colours as follows.
Image
Your diagram indicates the Y axis stretching out in front of the camera following along the
index finger or am I reading it incorrectly?

Cheers

I read it that the middle finger was pointing at the viewer/camera.

It looks like the X axis is going upwards with thumb pointing upwards? That's supposed to be the Y axis on the verticle.
Maybe I am reading it wrong?

Oh maybe I posted a dodgy image. This replaced an earlier link that was inordinately huuuuuge.
x is a cross, how about that ? I hadn't heard it before but I can't have made that up as I am pretty much incapable of originality.

You're right -- x is a cross!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I know it's a bit late, but this is kind of related.. it's a way to show something moving through a wormhole :)

That's amazing.
Can you share the file?

EDIT: Got the file and it's the best solution I have seen for this effect.
Well done!
