Out of curiosity, I looked at nesters_guy's project tumblr page and cam across this particular piece of animation

It's zombie guy walking toward the camera. It's a great effect and I'm curious if there are any good tips or instructional videos on how best to achieve that...

Actually, looking through his tumblr page, I see lots of examples of characters walking "forwards" toward the camera. (Also, lots of excellent examples of anime studio work) Pretty impressive... I'd like to learn how he gets ALL those great effects.

There are lot of posts on front walks (as well as in any good book on animation). Guyer has a basic tutorial:

I'm not sure, but I think you use images for your character rigs? You may have to experiment a bit to get the best effect.
