Binding Objects with other Moving Objects

Post by Andreas73 »

Hi,

I am new in Anime Studio and and try some things, to look if its work.

One of my "Wished Projects" was not a Charakter-Animation as normal, but a more Mechanical Animation.

So maybe something like a Wheel, that is moving a "forcer" (says the translator :D ), as you can see at a lovomotive. Or a ferry wheel, where the cabins move around, but always be horizontal..

So I ask me - or now you - if its possible to asign an Object to a spezially point in another object, when the "Mother-Object" Move in its own (in this case in circles).

I don't try anything till now, but think about to do anything with 360° Smartbones and Actions and many many Step by Step Work :)

But maybe there are better ways. Maybe to say to an object "Always look down" or "Always look (and maybe "lock" too) on this point on that object".

Maybe you have some keywords for searching or a tutorial(Video).

You Can answer in German, if you want :)

Thanks

Andreas

For example:

say you have layers:
Bones
>box - vector positioned with its centre line on the rim of ...
>wheel - vector - a circle

box is always to point "up" and follow wheel around.

Bones layer has 2 bones in a vertical chain - one (B1) centred on the centre of the wheel vector, the other (B2) for the box - with its pivot on the base of the box.

Bind layers: box to B2 and wheel to B1

Set bone constraint for B2: angle control bone is B1; value is -1

Rotate B1. B2 will follow keeping the box vertical.

This sounds like "Target Bones", which showed up in version 10.

The boxes would each need 'independent bone angle' set - so they aren't rotated around the circle. they would be set up around the large circle and children of a large bone in the middle which can be rotated around... due to their independent angle they will always be upright. No target bones needed.

I am very thankfull, that you try to help. But I don't understand it. I think it is a "Language Problem". :(

I have try to figure out, what you mean, but I don't have. For now it is important to know, that it is possible. Maybe it is a work, that I don't try to do now in the beginning, but later, if I familar with the program :)

So please don't be angry about my bad language, I thought it was not a big problem (in tutorial videos when I can see, what he do and hear, what he explain, it isn't a problem).

Have you seen this?

Do you have an image or sketch of what you would like to animate? It would help to better understand what you want.
