Man Watching TV (Test Animation for Animated Short)

Post by Tuxedo Cat Cartoons »

This is a test animation for an animated short that some friends and I are working on. Well...it's kind of a test animation, but it's also a little sneak peek of what's to come. We're having a lot of fun making this one and we're really looking forward to finishing this one.

Thanks a lot jezjones29!! I like the style as well...it really feels at home for me. And, along with drawing backgrounds and scenes, I also really enjoy creating and applying sound effects to animation. Applying sound effects is what gives an animation a pulse and really brings it to life.

The animation has to reasonable, at least. No amount of sound will save a bad animation, IMHO.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I totally agree with you 100%. The animation is the foundation and backbone, and without it the sound effects would have nothing to breathe life into. What I meant is that along with an adequate or well-done animation, the sound effects can really bring an animation to life. But, animations don't always need sound effects either - for instance: an animated music video typically only needs the animation since the music is playing over it. It's just really neat to see your animation come to life with sound effects.
