Don't quote me on it .... but from memory I think this has something to do with letting you know that that layer is compatible with flash and can be exported as an swf /will be editable in adobe flash.

I might be wrong but I think I read that somewhere once. Apologies in advance if this was unhelpful

Hehe, I'm sorry.
Actually, I remember very well this feature because I talked with Mike Clifton about it. That little point looks much more important than it really is. That causes confusion to many users, so probably in the future it should be eliminated or moved somewhere else.
