How do I apply the sketchy effect script?

Hey guys,

I have a vector layer selected and when I go to scripts > add > apply sketchy effect, nothing happens. I've tried preview animation and nothing happens there either. How do I apply this effect?

Edit: Also, if I go to layer settings, in the vector tab, I can see in the preview box exactly what I want. It's all ticked as enabled. Why don't I see anything in my timeline?

I'm not sure what you mean. Could you unpack that a little bit for me?

Edit: Nevermind, I rendered the frame and could see it, and then I exported my animation and it took effect in the output. I just found it odd that I couldn't see it when scrubbing my timeline.
