Old Project Files

Post by ColonelPhil »

I recently came across some older anime studio project files made with anime 10 trial version ( I now have 11.2 ) and back when I was following a tutorial wherein the character parts are scattered about on frame 0 but snap into place on frame One...I have since learned better ways to assemble and rig my characters on frame 0 ....but I was wondering if there is a way to copy the keys on frame One to frame 0 ?. . .Or a quick way to reassemble the characters on frame 0? . . There are four characters scattered across frame 0 and I would like frame 0 to be the same as frame One....I Can't Copy and paste them so I was wondering if there was maybe an easy way to get them together on frame 0 without having to track down each character's limbs and such (didn't name or color bones then either....so...)
There's probably something out there on the subject ... If so, I've Missed It....
Thank You. . .

No easy way. You'll need to translate the bones together on frame zero and then reset the offset with the offset bone tool.

I finally had a need to do this myself, so I wrote a menu script to translate all bones to their offset positions and remove the bone offsets. You'll still need to realign the sublayers yourself, but this will save some fiddling with the bones at least.

Well...before I saw this response I had already deleted the bones and gathered the vectors back as they should be in frame 0 and then just re-rigged it, but I have a couple of other old files that I can use the menu script for as well as some that are only "slightly off" Position....
Thanks Synthsin75
