Onion skinning between layers

Post by Reindeer »

When I create a Switch Layer - say one that contains different positions of the character's hand - how can I add new drawings while still seeing the previous ones? I mean like an onionskin effect, so I can add the new layer in the Switch Folder and draw using the lower (or upper) one as a reference. Thanks...!

Make sure the layer you want to onionskin is active in the switch layer (whether on frame zero or elsewhere in the timeline). Place your onionskin where it is active (if only frame zero, place your onionskin on frame one). Turn off "Selected layer only" in onionskin settings.

Oh! I wasn't aware of the Selected Switch Only option and I can think of a few times where I could have used that. Thanks for posting the tip. :)
