3d audio question.

Post by JrHighArt »

Hi, new here and to animation. I am using anime studio 9.5 pro. I have a scene in a cartoon where i need to do it in one shot because there is a song involved and I can not break it down into pieces or the audio will be off. My question is is there a way to disable the 3d audio effects entirely? I have 2 stages and am cutting the camera between them for actions and its just kind of a pain to have to keyframe the audio and the camera then move the camera and the audio file rinse and repeat. I am just wondering if there is an option to disable 3d audio altogether. I mix my audio in a different program anyway so i would like what is there to be played at the same volume all the time. If there is an offstage effect i can do it there. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Audio layer settings>Audio tab>uncheck Spatial positioning.

you might consider using a video editor, rather than AS9.5, to assemble all the elements - audio and video - for the finished work. That way you use the audio capability in AS just for synchronisation and in the video editor you line up the start of each scene with the appropriate point in the audio track.

Unchecking "Immune to camera movements" also works in most situations.

Thanks for the help. I couldn't find the immune to camera movements property. I could re mix in a video editor, just seems like another added step though. spatial processing was exactly what i was looking for. I knew it must be there somewhere :D , but was looking for it in project properties and not on the sound file itself. Made more sense to me that it would be a global variable i guess. However can see the value now if you want some to render 3d and some to be constant. thanks again.

Glad to help. Immune to Camera is on the General tab of the layer settings.
