Layer distinction in timeline
In the timeline I would like there to be a better distinction between layers. A line to divide them is not a good idea because a horizontal line already holds meaning the timeline. Perhaps alternate shading would make it easy to see one layer from another when multiple layers are shown.

If you add a color label to a layer, that color will appear in the timeline too (when two or more layers are visible on the timeline).
To add a color label to a layer, you can use the label column in the Layers window or (and I like this option, because I prefer to have fewer columns) right click over the visibility column and select a color.
