Timeline zoom options

Post by Jkoseattle »

Is there a better way to zoom in and out of the timeline than clicking on those buttons? Right click dragging and the mouse wheel are really terrific ways to move around the stage, but the timeline seems a little more primitive in that regard. I know I can right click drag to move around in the timeline, I'm just wondering if there's an easier way to zoom, as those buttons seem clumsy compared to all the slick other ways we can move around.
Most of the time I'm doing music stuff. Check me out at http://www.jimofseattle.com/music.

I agree. I've asked about this before and unfortunately the buttons are currently the only way to zoom in and out of the timeline.

IMO, even being able to assign a hotkey to those buttons would be useful, and a mouse wheel option could be better.

I usually work with a stylus and I still keep trying to Shift drag to zoom in the timeline like I can in the workspace. :)

I also wish the zooming levels in the timeline was more variable.
