I was looking at some of the discussions regarding adjusting beziers and so forth and it made me wonder if it might be desirable/possible to create a script or tool that allowed you to select a group of points forming a curve and apply 'smooth' 'average' or a similar function. For example you have a complex shape that has many points and after adjusting it the curve isn't quite right could there be a tool that would automatically adjust the selected points in reference to each other? So I select a group of 10 points that make up a curve and it adjusts the points towards or away from some median value to smooth it? Sort of like the reverse of the add noise thing.
In fact it might be cool to be able to perform other operations like 'stagger' 'stairs' and move alternating points a certain amount so if you select 'stagger' and set a value of 10 one point is moved +10 and the next is moved -10 and you end up with a zigzag (or wave). Select 'stairs' and a value of 20 and each two points is moved that amount in one direction making a flight of stairs.
I think this is a tip top idea. LM recently explained in detail why photoshop-like bezier curve things aren't going to be happening in Moho, but this seems like a very helpful and possible alternative, well that's what I think anyhoo.
