Problems with bones
Hey guys, I'm having a big problem.
So I finished the body of a character (finally, thank God) and have added bones and binded them to points and body parts, there's just one problem. When I grab, say... the left arm, it moves not only itself but the entire body. And I've been looking at bone strength, if the parts were binded correctly, etc.
How do I fix this without starting a whole new character? Because I need to finish a project by next Tuesday.

Re: Problems with bones
Sounds like it could be a parenting issue. Check the hierarchy.

Re: Problems with bones
Check that the parenting of the limbs is correct. i.e., the hand bone connected to the lower arm bone, the lower arm bone connected to the upper arm bone, the upper arm bone connected to the upper torso, etc.
In other words, from your description, it sounds like the body's hip or root bone may be parented to one of the arm bones. Or something like that.
Hope this helps.

Everything's connected appropriately from what I can tell.Greenlaw wrote:Check that the parenting of the limbs is correct. i.e., the hand bone connected to the lower arm bone, the lower arm bone connected to the upper arm bone, the upper arm bone connected to the upper torso, etc.

Hmm. Not sure then. Without more info, screencaps or a test scene, anything will just be a guess.
The most likely issue would be incorrect hierarchical structure as mentioned, but it may also be in an error in one of your Actions (probably in an arm bone) or an incorrect binding method. Or a combination of any of these.

If you want, I can attach the file and let you see what's wrong, since I can't figure that out.Greenlaw wrote:Hmm. Not sure then. Without more info, screencaps or a test scene, anything will just be a guess.

My version number is Moho 12, 2, 0, 21774. This is Debut 12 I'm using here.
I'm not sure how to attach a file here. Do you mind if I email you the file?
