Lines are Blurry and Pixelated When Previewing
So, I am working on creating this house using the add point tool. Everything is going fine and I assumed that the blurriness was only when editing it. However, once I clicked preview to see how it will look, the lines are blurry and not smooth like it is supposed to be. I already tried disabling anti-aligning but it makes it worse and only a small portion of the line will preview.
Here is a picture in the main page where you edit. This one looks smooth and blurry:

Here is a picture from the preview. This one looks pixelated and blurry:

There is a problem with the lines. If I have two lines close to each other it looks like in the first picture below. When I click in the vector layer you can see that there are two lines.
No gap lines: https://ibb.co/jt99yH

Re: Lines are Blurry and Pixelated When Previewing
I've seen that problem in Preview renders before. It was explained to me by the developers that Preview (Ctri-R) takes some shortcuts to render the image out more quickly than the final renderer (i.e., Export Animation or Moho Exporter), so Preview may not be 100% exactly like the final render quality.
The lines should render properly through Export Animation or Moho Exporter. If you're still seeing the problem with final quality renders, I would submit a bug report along with reproducible content.
In general, I use Ctrl-R to check my progress quickly, knowing it may not be 100% accurate. Most of the time that's good enough, but when I see something unusually wrong, I'll render a few frames using the Exporter renderer just to be sure the flaw is not going to be in the final render.
Also, I found the preview render's window size can affect the quality of the image. Make sure window is at 100%. At other sizes, the lines may appear imperfect.
Hope this helps.

I exported it and the final quality compared to preview is actually better. However, the problem I'm still having is that the gap in between two close lines are still blurry for both previews and the final exported file.Greenlaw wrote: The lines should render properly through Export Animation or Moho Exporter. Look like the res is too low, there are jaggies through it, antialiasing is trying to compensate and making it look blurry.
What are your dimensions, do you have half res on the export?

Dimensions are 1080p HDTV (1920x1080).chucky wrote:Look like the res is too low, there are jaggies through it, antialiasing is trying to compensate and making it look blurry.

Half res is not checked.
If I try to disabled antialiasing this is how the picture looks which is worse.

Have you scaled the layer or zoomed the camera? And do you have scale compensation enabled?

Have you posted a render or just screen caps?
Are you using a brush or style.
Is this just a plan stroke?
I can't imagine Moho being at fault here.

I render a single image sequence.chucky wrote:Have you posted a render or just screen caps?

I am using the add point tool or the pen tool (if that's what other people call it). I want to use this tool since I am creating straight lines.
Not sure if the last picture is showing for you but for me is not. So, here is a direct link.

Upload the file and we'll sort it out in a jiffy.
Something ain't right here.

When you created shapes you ended up stacking a lot of them. This compounds the anti-aliasing.
Anywhere lines are close enough, they will try to anti-alias the same pixels, and stacked ones are the worst.
This happens when Moho composites the layers together when rendering.
And you have to view the image at the exported dimensions to really see the actual result.

Re: Lines are Blurry and Pixelated When Previewing
If you haven't already done so, another thing to check is that Extra Smooth Images is enabled. This internally renders the frames at 2x and then scales the result down to the target size, which can improve the AA quality considerably. It will certainly help with very thin lines because the lines will get rendered with more visible pixels.
The 'catch' is that it may increase your render time by 4x. IMO, this is completely worth it, especially for commercial animation production. (Moho renders relatively quickly anyway.)

So, you're saying that the problem in Moho settings and not in the lines or the layer setting?synthsin75 wrote:http://i65.tinypic.com/e6u51d.png

No, the main problem is that you've created a lot of strokes on top of each other.masusaca wrote:So, you're saying that the problem in Moho settings and not in the lines or the layer setting?synthsin75 wrote:http://i65.tinypic.com/e6u51d.png

If you delete all the shapes on each layer, select all the points, and create one stroke shape, you will get the results in my picture.

Re: Lines are Blurry and Pixelated When Previewing
That's what I don't understand. I only made the lines using the add point tool. I don't see how I created extra stroke on top of the others. That's weird, but I don't see how can I fix that.synthsin75 wrote: No, the main problem is that you've created a lot of strokes on top of each other.
