My project uses a JPG as a reference for vector placement, which won't be seen in the final product. I have it as the bottom-most layer. I set the opacity of this layer to 20%, and it looks right, but only when designing. In playback, it is still at 100%. (It is also at 100% whenever I mouse down in the timeline in design mode). Why Is this? So instead I decided to simply mask the JPG with a box and then set the opacity on the box instead, but no matter what I do, the box completely masks the JPG. I'm confused.
I thought maybe it was one of those things fixed by that mysterious GPU option, but I'm running Moho for the first time in MacOS and I'm not seeing the GPU option in preferences anywhere.

Re: Opacity not recognized
A lot of Macs don't have a dedicated graphics card, in which case you won't see a GPU option.
If you had a dedicated graphics card, GPU acceleration does allow transparency while playing/scrubbing timeline.
View>Fade Unselected Layers should work without GPU acceleration.
