Hiding mask

Hi,
I would like to create an invisibile layer to use as mask to make invisibile other layers.

Example:
I have a man sit on a couch. So in the group I have:
Layer 1: Body
Layer 2: Arms
Layer 3: Couch

Now I want that the arm of the man is behind the armrest.
If you use After Effects you can create an invisble mask (shaping it on the armrest) and say to the software that all layers above will be invisible when they will be out of the mask shape.
In Moho it happens just for the opposite (the layers upon are visible only when inside the mask shape).

Is there any way to use a mask like in after effects?

Sounds like you just need a subtraction mask instead of an addition mask. Everything you describe in AE can easily be done in Moho.

If you need more help, you might post a file, with an example of what you're trying to accomplish. That way someone can show you what needs to be done, both in the file and steps to replicate.

You can:
- Change the mode of the Masking Group to "Reveal All" -- which shows everything in the group by default
- Set the various layers you want affected by the mask or not with "Mask this layer" or "Don't mask this layer"
- Set you mask layer(s) to "Subtract from Mask"

This should then behave in a similar manner to the described After Effects mask mode

Depending on your design, you can have a much easier setup: duplicate the armrest and put it in front of the arm. Switch its visibility on and off when needed.

Think this is the best way to simulate an AE mask.
