Smart bones problem in 13.5

Let me say first that I'm delighted with Moho 13.5. Looks better, works better, and new features is more than I expected for these release.

I switched all my projects to new version immediately. Anyway I found one problem, not sure if it is a bug or I should change rigs to works how they should.
I always make smartbone actions to correct weird deformation on arms in elbow region. But on moho 13.5 that actions just don't work on my rigs. This is the picture of the same rig in moho 13 ( where action works) and in moho 13.5. Any solution?

Just to be clear. The arm bone is one with action, and that action don't works in MOHO 13.5.

Hi,
when you used 13, did you put any actions in folders?
It may not be that in this case, but just a warning , stay away from those action folders, never use them.

Also the 13 dev team changed how the actions are named, this may be an issue also.
Maybe , in the V13.5 version have a look at the names and make sure they match.
You may have to rebuild the smart action if there is a corruption.

There is a world of nightmares waiting in the V13 actions panel... if you step on any of the landmines. :?

Thank you Chucky ,
I've removed old action and made completely new one in 13.5. And as long as it is in action time line it works. But once I get in the mainline, the action doesn't work.
Then I remove all other actions to get just a basic rig, made new one on that bone, and it still doesn't works.
I will check if that problem still exist when I made entire new rig from the scratch.

Actions in v13 were severely broken, even if you might not have noticed.

In v12.5 and 13.5, smart bone action names must match the smart bone name. This should allow you to reconnect the existing SB actions to their bones.
If not, we may need to see a file with the problem. Feel free to remove everything but the problem bones/art or PM a link if you don't want it public.

Chucky said that too, but I didn't see that the name of bone and action should match. That solves the problem!

Moho 13.0 drastically changed how Actions worked, causing many rigs and established workflows to break in that release. This is why most users and studios that use Moho switched back to using Moho 12.5, or never bothered to upgrade to 13.0.

Moho 13.5, however, goes back to the Actions system used in Moho 12.5, which is why rigs prepared in 12.5 are translating smoothly to 13.5. But this is also why Moho 13.0 rigs that use Smart Bones are probably going to break when imported to 13.5.

The good news is that I think all your keyframes will still exist in your rig after importing your 13.0 rig, but you may need to re-assign the Smart Bone Actions to the bones. Once you do that, it should be good though.

This is essentially the process I went through when I switched back to Moho 12.5 from Moho 13.0, and had to manually convert my 13.0 rigs for 12.5. Lucky for me, I hadn't done too much work in Moho 13.0 at that stage. (My production rigs tend to have hundreds of Smart Bone Actions in them.)

Edit: I just saw Wes and Chucky's replies...yes, what they say! :)

Unfortunately when I found how much trouble version 13 make me, I already have several project started there. Luckily it seems that every rig and animation works at 13.5 ( for now ). Actually, I have couple of files with multiple rigs that crushes all the time in 13, and now works without problems in 13.5.

I just fixed the rig from above, and this is how looks test animation ( for the game project )... with wind bone of course :mrgreen:

it's good enough for prototype , but I will polish it for a production.
(And probably upgrade it with new Vitruvian super power :D)
