Wacom tablets & Windows Ink

Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
There seem to be 2 technologies that Windows uses to support graphic tablets: the older Wintab and the later Windows Ink.
I've had serious issues with Windows Ink & Wacom tablets in 3 other packages:
-- Sketchbook Pro
-- Clip Studio Paint
-- Affinity Designer.
Clip Studio and Affinity now include an option to revert to Wintab, and enabling this solved my problems.
I hope Lost Marble considers introducing the same feature -- it would solve many headaches, especially for newcomers to the software.

Hello!
I see more people have the same problem as me
I tried to use the Windows Ink solution.... but.. It appears I don't have anything like this on my PC.
I googled it up and well... discovered this is a software for WIN10.
Sadly, I have WIN7, does anyone know how to solve this issue for Windows 7?

Use Win 10
How old do you want your OS to be?

Well, this is what I plan in future, but now I don't have WIN10, so I'm just asking if someone solved this problem on WIN7? ^^

Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
Windows Ink may have been enabled by default in last week's big update on Windows 10. I don't normally use my tablet in Moho, but I lost pressure sensitivity in Clip Studio Paint last week after the update and wasn't sure why.

Honestly, Windows XP was the last version that made any sense to me. All the newer versions feel like stuff on top of stuff. Would love to go back!

Clearly we have a different opinion,
I resent every last vestige of windows 7's vile interface.

Win 7 reminds me of anti virus and bloatware, bogged machines and crashes.
Give me the clean lines uncluttered and smooth experience of 10 any day ( although some of the apps like groove... oh dear

Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
Don't get me wrong, I don't like 7 at all. They lost it after XP (which was Windows 5 I guess?) in my opinion. Though XP is ugly too, Windows 95/98 were the last good looking ones, they were functional and pretty clean. 10 is too clean for me with its lack of contrast and lines. But the worst parts of 10 are stuff like the control panel. Everything is so convoluted, they are just reskinning old menus when they should really just have gone back to the drawing board and think of proper UX. Which I guess they kind of did in some areas which brought us the joys of Windows Inkchucky wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 11:11 pmClearly we have a different opinion,

HeHe.. That's what they tried to do with Windows 8 and look where that got us. You can of course get Win 95 and Win XP emulators for Win 10.
I also have a Win 7 virtual machine on Win 10 for any old app that doesn't run on Win 10.

Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
Hiya,
just updated from Anime Studio Pro 11 to MOHO 13.5...
and The pressure sensitivity of my cheap 20 buck bootleg trust graphic tablet isn't working anymore. It still works as intented on every other program, including Anime Studio Pro 11, but with Windows Ink turned off or on it wont work with Moho 13.5...
Is there another fix i can try? Cus i'm really dependend on drawing in Moho

Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
Sadly, latest Moho version depends on Windows Ink to detect the pressure sensitivity, and at the same time enabling windows ink will cause many issues. You can read about it here: https://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewto ... ablet+mohoLeviEnton wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 2:13 pm Hiya,

Moho's drawing experience is pretty bad right now, hardly usable. I really hope that the new team focuses on that soon because they have been doing a good job in general.
Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
Thanks for the response. Sadly it wont even do it when Windows ink is enabled for me, its sad that the MOho is such a downgrade in the newer version when it comes to Graphic Tablets. I might try another tablet soon, maybe the pressure sensivity will at least work with WIndows ink enabledDaxel wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 8:07 pmSadly, latest Moho version depends on Windows Ink to detect the pressure sensitivity, and at the same time enabling windows ink will cause many issues. Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
Oh that's strange. Have you checked your settings on the freehand tool and also the general settings? maybe you have some pressure/pen option disabled. Or maybe there's something wrong with your windows ink settings on the windows side, or on the graphic tablet's settings.
Re: Wacom tablets & Windows Ink
In 13.5.2, I have pen pressure here with Windows Ink enabled and I also have r-click in the Layer Window, which was the problem for me in 13.5 with Windows Ink enabled.

Make sure you have the latest Windows 10 updates installed and the latest Wacom Driver. (I just noticed there's a new Wacom driver update waiting for me to install...I hope this doesn't break things for me; everything's working fine right now.)
I haven't used my Huion Kamvas 13 tablet in a while...misplaced my stylus. I'll look for it today and give it a try.
Edit: In case anybody is wondering, yes, if I click on the Moho button in the Wacom Control Panel, Windows Ink is enabled there. Sorry, I meant to show that in the screen cap. This is how I used to keep Windows Ink disabled specifically for Moho so I could use r-click for Layers, but this doesn't appear to be necessary now. Right now, I have pressure and r-clicking for Layers with Windows Ink enabled.
