About pieces of same color

Post by yotsuba »

Hi everyone. In Toon Boom, there was a function (I just forgot how it was called) that allowed to automatically create lineart when pieces of the same color overlap (like a character's shirt and it's sleeve). I want to know if its possible to do the same on Moho or any tips on how you guys go about when you need to create this type of distinction.

You could try a hard shadow with clip shadow to group in the Layer Settings but your limited to the angle the shadow falls (not sure you can animate the angle)
Also assuming the objects with the same colors are on different layers in a group. Set the blur to zero the offset to say 2 and turn off transparency.

I got your shadow link to work but not the way it is showing. I created a two cylinder arm with bones and created two rectangles below in different layers all the same color. Using the settings I'm getting a lighter color (very thin line) over the rectangles.
(lines on the arm) I used a skin color. I tried a dark blue color and the line wasn't as visible. I'm not getting anything on the arms when they bend?

Another snag in what I did is If it's on an arm with a shoulder the line goes all the way around it, which may not be desirable ( I just tested that on one of my characters )
