Copyright on library contents

Post by BarryS »

Hello,
Could someone kindly advise me, please?
Are the contents in the Moho/Anime library copyright/royalty-free and usable in projects, including commercial ones?
Thank you.

Moho pro is a private and paid software, that means that everything in your library is owned by Moho. you would already have to create new elements and characters so as not to infringe the copyright. if it were free software maybe you could use it however it is always good to know what can be used and what not.

I hope I've helped..

the licence for use is displayed during installation, it's in the manual as well as in a separate "readme" file in the Resources folder created during installation (e.g. C:\Program Files\Moho\Resources\Support\Common\Readme) .

specifically see 5.A.3
5. Content License
A) Subject to the terms and conditions of this EULA and your payment of the license fee, LOST MARBLE grants you a limited, personal, nontransferable and non-exclusive license (without the right to sublicense):
3) To reproduce, prepare derivative works based upon, distribute, publicly display, and publicly perform content you create using Restricted Content, provided that such use of Restricted Content shall be solely for Legitimate Uses and lawful uses
in short, yes - that says you may use it, change it, show or sell the results... as long as the stuff you make doesn't break any laws and you're not trying to offer a product that competes with Moho.
