odd anomaly using shading and color points

Post by SuperSGL »

Not sure if it's a bug or not ( it should be ) When I add a Shaded effect to an object I can see in real time where the shadow is going to be (normal) But when I add a color point the object greys out like the shadow covers the whole thing. If I click on a blank area (with transform tool) I can see the results and render is what it should be. Makes it very difficult to create the look & effect I want. I just tried the same thing in 12.5 and got the same result. I tried GPU on and GPU off no difference. Didn't think it would work but tried the reverse order as well create shape add color nodes then add shading, same result. It's like the shadow takes over the whole object in the view window. Once again the rendered image is correct.
