Stroke imported vector object from illustrator

Post by tiatridis »

Quick question. When I create a vector shape inside Moho the options to fill and stroke are right there. However, if I import a eps or AI vector shape I notice the fill and stroke options are greyed out. Is it possible to color and stroke an imported vector shape?

Thanks

It should be fine...when an vector EPS is imported to Moho, it should be converted to a regular Moho Vector layer and you should be able to stroke and fill it as norma.. Without seeing the example, it's hard to tell what might have gone wrong.

Have you selected the shape with the Select Shape tool? That will display the shape's style settings. If you don't have a shape explicitly selected, what you see is the Style window's current default settings.

BTW, Moho actually does better with an SVG from Ai. Just be sure to use the Save As SVG command and not the Export As SVG command. For some reason, the latter does not work properly with Moho, but the former should work fine.

Yup, that was all it was I needed to select it with the proper tool. What threw my off was when you're drawing a shape it fills and strokes by default without that tool selected. I will try out the SVA thing, great tip. Thanks so much. Excited to being using Moho again.
