No text box for Simplify?
I don't often use this but when I'm just doodling I use the freehand tool. Had it on a lower setting for the smoothness, so got a lot of points. When I had the select points tool selected I noticed that I had the button for 'Simplify (0-100)' but no text box. I did add 2 scripts recently the Mirror mesh and the mr Transform Rig tool not sure if one of them was the culprit or not. Anyone else see this? Not sure on the exact name of the mirror mesh.
edit: I just checked my laptop with no scripts and the text box is there. Must have been one of the scripts. I hardly ever use this feature anyway.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
I ended up removing the mesh mirror script ( DKWROOT_TOOLS ) Not only did it remove the number box for simplify but it also removed the 'Split' button this one I use. So I deleted the script. Is there a work around does anyone know?

Ooo...let me check that later this morning. It would be a real shame to lose this tool. I'll get back to you.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
I'm back and it seems to be okay here with the DKW Root plugins installed. I have both Mirror Points and Swap Sides in my menu, and under the Select Points options I see the Simplify button with the number box and the Split button as expected.

Maybe it's a conflict with another script combined with Mirror Points?

Re: No text box for Simplify?
I also have those two scripts with no problems. I love them. Maybe mesh mirror and mirror points are not the same script?
Re: No text box for Simplify?
Oh, yeah...if there's a script specifically called Mesh Mirror (not Mirror Points), I don't have that one installed.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
Thanks for the screen shot. I may have installed it wrong. I placed it in the tools folder. I don't see it under the menus as you have it. I just had icons on the top bar for mirror mesh and two for lining up points on X or Y along with the swap sides. These were in front of where the Split button should have been.
Not for nothing my content folder I think is messed up as well "C:\Users\SGL\Documents\Moho Pro\My Stuff\Moho13\Moho Pro"

Yep you have to install menu scripts on any of the folders inside "Moho Pro/scripts/menu" on your library.SuperSGL wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 6:18 pm Thanks for the screen shot. You can change your content folder in the settings.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
Sounds like you installed dkwroot's replacement tool (lm_select_points). This replaces the stock tool and it is missing the text box...likely to make room for the additional features. So yeah, if you need both, better to install the menu scripts.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
I skimmed over the thread and saw there are two different uploads...the original Tools version, and then he created a Menu version for just the two, Swap Sides and Mirror Points. I'm not sure if the Menu version is different but I think he might have made improvements in that version? Anyway, I only use the Menu version of these two scripts.
Some tips...
To install the menu version, instead of dropping the scripts in the Tool folder, place them in a folder in the Menu folder. The folder will appear as a sub-menu under Scripts in Moho. You can organize folders however you like in the Menus folder and they will appear hierarchically under the Scripts menu.
On my computer, I created a folder called +Special and in side that, I have the scripts categorized by the creator of the script. Also, inside the folders I like to keep a link the to source so I know where to go for instructions or updates.
I do something like this for Tool scripts too. If you place a Tool script in a folder, Moho will ignore it, so this is a good place to store the scripts you're not using, or for scripts you wish to temporarily disable. Inside this folder, I have the tools organized by their creators just like in my Menu >+Special folder.
Note that some tools have a Resources folder with a folder inside. That folder should be moved into Moho's Resources folder in your custom content directory. This folder may contain icons and bits of code that are shared by multiple tools. Don't change the name of this folder, just move it into the Resources folder.
Hope this helps.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
Yea I think I have a different version of it. I already tried it your way and the mirror points-swap sides- Line Up X-Line Up Y don't show in the menu. In the image folder itself just images no Lua files. And under tools none of the icon names i mentioned are there. I've tried many, many combinations of placing them in the Menu folder and back to tools. The weird part is I mentioned Mirror mesh that's what the icon says in the top bar but the actual image is called mirror points.
The lua files that are there seem to be the standard Add bone rotate layer shear layer etc. but nothing else?
edit: Forgot to mention the icons for the mirror points and the others actually do work.

The menu version is a different download. You can get it here at the bottom of the page...

No icons are provided in this version because it's a menu script.

Re: No text box for Simplify?
That's so weird. I click the link, which takes me to his Google Drive page and then I click Download button, and it works. This is for both links, for the original Tools version of everything, and the one for the Menu versions of Swap Sides and Mirror Points.
Have you tried the following?
1. Use a different browser. I would think Chrome should work reliably since it's also a Google product. I'm using Chrome here but if you're also using Chrome, try Firefox.
...and/or...
2. Try clicking the link while you're logged out of Google. I don't think it should matter that you're logged into your own Google Drive account but worth a try?
3. If you're using a third-party internet security program, try disabling it before going to that link. It's possible that your software is being overly cautious. If downloading then works, you can turn it back on afterwards.
BTW, it sounds like the menu version does have improvements...

I'm guessing this is why I no longer have the tool versions installed. Although, in re-reading this, it doesn't say he didn't update the tool versions as well.
