Ignored by Layer selector?

I was looking for away to lock a layer and I came across a select box for Ignored by Layer selector in the Layers settings tab. It didn't seem to do anything and there is no mention of it in the Help manual.

Never mind, found it here in the forum. It's so you can't alt click and select it by mistake.

Funny, I don't think I was aware of this option and I sure could have used it on project I was working on a few years ago. Well, next time I'll know better (if I remember.)

Yeah, that's the only version I'd suggest using, as the other was never fully worked out.

As far as the Help Manual, I did a full search and nothing came up. Even and older image of the Layers Settings doesn't have it. Probably should be updated. Funny, found it on a search here - I think on the 13.5.2 update.

You're right, I don't see Ignore Layer Selector in 12.5, so it must be a fairly recent addition.

I should pay closer attention to the new release notes.
