Moho 13.5 and Dropbox problem

Post by Spiro »

Hi! I always work my files in dropbox, but now that I installed the 13.5 version, Moho it's saving my files as Temporale files, so I am not available to open them.
When I save them outside of dropbox it's saved as "file".moho but if it's in dropbox it's "file".temp

I didn't have this problem in the previous versions, somebody had this problem too?

Here it's how the files looks: https://ibb.co/qW0R7YX

Hope somebody can help me :D

I don't use DropBox, but a similar issue was discussed here: https://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewto ... =5&t=34676

For me, saving to Dropbox seems to work but I did see the temp file appear once. I think Moho does that when Auto Save is enabled? If it's causing a problem, try running Moho with it disabled.

Also, you mentioned running 13.5 but the latest version is 13.5.2, which fixed many bugs since the initial release. If you don't have 13.5.2 installed, I highly recommend the update.

Moho now auto-saves temp files, before converting them to .moho, to ensure that work is not lost (0kb files). Dropbox can keep Moho from renaming and deleting the files saved there. Maybe there are permissions in Dropbox to allow Moho to operate normally.

I finally got around to reporting this today. Hopefully there will be a fix or a suggestion from the developers.

For now, I suggest working in a regular directory, and when you're ready to share the file drag a copy to the Dropbox folder. When you overwrite a file this way, Dropbox will preserve any existing shared links.
