layer opacity 180%!
Is there any reason why I can set layer opacity to higher values than 100%?

Nah...but when you click Apply, the value resets to 100% anyway. It won't actually let you set a value higher than that.

So this is a bug, if only in display.

Re: layer opacity 180%!
FWIW, even Photoshop's layer opacity lets you type in values higher than 100%, but when you press Enter it resets to 100%. So, not sure this is actually a bug unless it's also a bug in Photoshop.

Re: layer opacity 180%!
Yeah, I'd call it more a little glitch? Or not even that...
BTW, if I remember well, there is indeed an image editing program that let you apply more than 100% of opacity to a layer called "PhotoLine" and I recall I found it handy sometimes when it came to deal with modify layers having elements with different transparency and so (I can't really remember more details, but what I do remember is after that I missed it in other programs). Really, I don't think it's something you couldn't get by other means (like by duplicating and then merging, for example), but handy to count with after all... (for an image editing program at least).

Re: layer opacity 180%!
I know in compositing programs like Fusion and Nuke, since you can work with images rendered in floating point color spaces, you can not only go infinitely above 100%, you can go infinitely below 0%. That said, it's better to avoid doing that unless you really have to, since you risk getting weird results.
Of course, this doesn't apply to Moho since we're limited to 24-bits of color.
Speaking of higher color depths, I'm still hoping we'll get expanded EXR support, not only for the expanded color space but also for extra buffer channels like depth, motion vectors, anti-aliasing, crypto-matte, normals, etc. This would make rendering out of Moho for compositing insanely more useful. For example, imagine having separate channels for fills and strokes. Or being able to select masks based on Style IDs and Layer IDs. This kind of data is common when rendering 3D animation but there's no reason we can't have it for 2D animation. For example, some 2D sprite animation programs for video game development can generate data like normals used to simulate 3D lighting.
But even if Moho only got PNG with higher color depth, I'd be very happy.
