Hi guys,
I've another problem! I created a wrap layer of a face. I also created several smart bone dials which should help to animate this face. But somehow those smart bone dials doesn't act independently but create key-frames all over the place! There is no parent-child relationship between those bones - I'm sure of it!
Please watch the YouTube video I recorded!

The problem is that you have the "Auto-Freeze" feature activated. You can find the option right on top of the timeline. This feature creates keyframes of every single bone each time you change one of them. If you select only one bone, like your eyebrow smartbone, the red channel will show you in which frames that bone is keyframed. That way you can delete the keyframes that you don't want only for that specific bone. But at this point It could be easier to start again, depending on the complexity of your animation.

thanks a lot. I must accidentally activated 'Auto-Freeze'! Next time something like that happens again, I'll know where to look! There is no day without learning something new ... which is wonderful and frustrating at the same time!

Is there a way to select the effected bones and clear all the animation from these bones?
This would be a very useful function! If I choose to clear animation from layer - all the previous work is lost.

Select the bone for which you want to remove animation then a red dot would appear in timeline, delete that red dot you would good to go.Hugging_Bear wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 10:44 am Is there a way to select the effected bones and clear all the animation from these bones?

Re: Smart bone dials effect each other in wrap layer
That's not what I meant. I want a way to delete the animation (thousands of keyframes) from several bones with one click. (Note that I wrote bones=plural and clear animation, not a single keyframe). So far I know, there is no 'clear animation from bone' function. But I think there should be one!striker2311 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 11:24 amSelect the bone for which you want to remove animation then a red dot would appear in timeline, delete that red dot you would good to go.Hugging_Bear wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 10:44 am Is there a way to select the effected bones and clear all the animation from these bones?

In the timeline you can select the Selected (Red) Bone Transform/Rotate/... channel icons and that will toggle select all the keyframes for the selected bones using that/those channel/s and then you can delete.
Not as simple as a one-click, but not too far-off either.

Yep, I do what Sam explained, selecting all the keyframes of a channel clicking on it's icon.Hugging_Bear wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 10:44 am Is there a way to select the effected bones and clear all the animation from these bones?
