Inconsistency when updating source image

I am finding inconsistent behavior with regard to updating source images. My project consists almost entirely of imported .png files. Often I find myself needing to make some sort of fix to an image, which I do in an external program. Sometimes Moho will recognize the change immediately, sometimes I will need to go into the Layer Settings dialogue and reset the source image, and then sometimes (too often), resetting the source image doesn't change it at all. (I am not changing the file name, just editing the image and re-saving it.) The most common result has been that even deleting the layer and importing the image brand new STILL doesn't reflect the changed image - it appears that Moho stores the old image in cache and then recognizes it's the same file name so just uses what's in cache instead of pulling the file anew. The only surefire way is to exit out of the movie altogether and re-open it and THEN re-import the image. Is there some reasoning behind this that I'm not catching onto?

Also note: If you have the same image file in a project in another document tab, then it will also cause issues with updating.
