Fade In/Fade Out

Hi. I'm trying to do a very simple fade in and fade out for a layer in Moho Debut. This was very very simple to do in Anime Studio, but apparently this involved scripts, which are only accommodated in Moho Pro. In lieu of that, I was trying to simulate a fade by going keyframe to keyframe and adjusting the opacity. Unfortunately changing the opacity for a given keyframe changes the opacity for that layer in the whole animation. Is there something I'm overlooking? Thanks!

You need to enable "Allow animated layer effects," in the layer settings, before you can animate layer opacity.

Thanks! That helps. Oddly, though, the fade-in effect shows up in the exported animation, but not when I cycle through the scene using the Play/Stop button. This is confusing and annoying. The layer in question happens to be a png file; could that be part of the problem?

You need to enable GPU acceleration in the display settings, to see opacity animation in the workspace.
