What this actually does is it switches Manipulate Bones from IK mode to FK mode. So you do your broad posing with IK and press Alt to tweak and refine the pose. Between the two modes, you can get the perfect pose very quickly.
I don't know if you've tried MQC (Moho Quick Click) but it does some of what you described (Freeze Points, Freeze Pose, etc.,) from a button panel. I made it back when I used Moho on a Wacom tablet computer, which didn't have a keyboard, so I could just tap buttons on the screen instead of going to the menus. I found that MQC also made Moho easier with a mouse on extra large display because I didn't have to keep mousing across the screen to the menus for everything (coz I'm too lazy to memorize all the shortcuts. When you want to freeze the pose of a selected bone, you don't need to go to the Bone Menu...
Alas, MQC only works on a Windows computer, and I have a Mac. I hope some of its features become native to Moho. For frequently used operations, buttons are way better than using the menu.
I just tried your tip and it's amazing. This will be a huge time-saver on my vector art backgrounds. I like roughing-out shapes and adding and moving points as I go, so this tip suits my approach. Thanks!
Agh! That's too bad. I used AutoHotkey to create it but I imagine there must be an equivalent macro editor for Mac. Most of the buttons are just referencing normal shortcuts, and only one or two of the buttons have additional code to do multiple things. Should be easy to create something similar for Mac. (If anyone does this, please let me know about it because I occasionally get asked about a Mac version of MQC but I haven't owned a Mac for a while now.)
