Can you stroke an entire folder?

Post by Gakk42 »

I want to have several elements, let's say a dog head and snout- I want the head to look up and the snout to move up. I would like the stroke to outline both the head and snout and move with the elements.

Group (or bone) layer contains the elements.
Elements have fill but no stroke on their outline shape (can have stroke elsewhere)
Group layer properties: General tab: check the "outline on" box.

you need to render (e.g. ctrl-R) to see the effect

hope that helps

nm. I just read that it only shows up if you cmd+r . Really odd that you have to do that , but i guess it is what it is

Pretty much any of the Group layer effects show up in post process only. In my experience, I haven't found it necessary to see these effects while animating a project, and seeing it live all the time would probably slow things down.

When setting up a scene, it's always a good idea to spot check the final quality with Ctri-R. Even when Moho provides an interactive preview, it's going to look different when rendered.

Alternatively, if both shapes are on the same layer, you can just have separate strokes at the bottom, so they only show around the edges of both shapes.
Using references, you could do the same with multiple layers.
