Small "bug" in the noise animation feature under 14.2.

Post by Lychee »

On moho 14.2, in the vector options of a layer, when I set an animated noise and an interval to zero, I sometimes have an animation even though my construction is not moving.

This happened to me too when I tried the feature.

I haven't tried this hipothesis. But it just came to my mind that the target system is somehow unstable (the bone pointing to the target and its entire IK chain are actually moving a little bit all the time). And that may be what's turning the noise animation on for those drawings. In that case devs could add a dead zone, a minimum travel distance that doesn't trigger the noise. Or make the targeting system stable, but the other option may be easier to implement.

Yep that was it. To clarify, the target system is not unstable if there are no keyframes at the end of the animation (this almost made me think it didn't happen anymore), it is unstable on holds between keyframes. And you have to zoom in to see it because it moves only a little bit. But yeah, it triggers the noise animation and the other drawings didn't show noise so that was it.

It's not cool for me, I'm the type to constantly use target bones, so for the moment I can't use this new feature.
