Does Moho need a paid scripting professional?

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to this forum and Moho as well.

I love Moho, I think it's brilliant and has allowed me to animate in ways I thought would be impossible for me since I'm not great at drawing but am very good with vectors. Thanks Moho!

However, it's got issues .

My main question here is:

Does the community think there is a spot for a paid, scripting professional who can help with Moho development, features, UI cleanup, etc?

I am a developer with more than 10 years experience, mainly in iOS and Swift though I've programmed in C#, PHP and Ruby as well. I could pick up Lua and other languages and help with development.
Moho also desperately needs better support, this forum is practically dead, not to mention outdated and the Discord server is hard to use as a support platform. I could also help with that.

The reason I'm asking is because I love animation and I love Moho and wold really like to contribute to its future.

However, I am unemployed at the moment and need to find income so I can't do it for free.

I'm genuinely asking if the community thinks there is a place for such a person before I devote serious time and energy down this path since I need to pick my future projects very carefully as my financial situation is getting dimmer...

This is not a good idea, because there are very few Moho users per se, and even fewer willing to pay for the script, so you will just starve to death.

All of the scripts on this forum and mohoscripts.com are available for free. Most of them were made also by professionals (far as I can tell) but some of those scripts were implemented into the official edition of Moho. Guess you'll figure out the route.

Wishing you luck with entering the official team but bear in mind that most of the studios/crews/teams/individuals that are using Moho, could need someone for custom scripts. Keep it alive here and fingers crossed.

There are some scripts writers who already made their scripts for paid version and sell those scripts on their own websites. So I really appreciate those professional script writers who write scripts for free for Moho users on the Moho script websites. Please keep that place for professionals who want to share Moho tools for free, and let the paid version be the options.
