I've created a human figure using separate body pieces and region binding on a bone layer to control those pieces. This works fine.
I now need to add some details on and around the figure to place it in its background setting. Some of these surrounding scene details will need to go in front of limbs, some behind. For example, a seat belt, which needs to go infront of the chest, yet behind the right arm. To achieve this, I need to add the new layers so they sit inbetween the 'limb' layers. Unfortunately, this also means they need to fall within the bone layer.
I added them at frame 1, so that I can see the figure as a whole, and have a frame of reference. Now when I animate the skeleton, some of the new details are being deformed by the bones. I don't want any deformation on these details!
How do I successfully add layers that need to go infront or behind the characters limbs (depending on the character's background setting) and not have them affected by bones, please?

Select the layer in question go to Bone/Release Points.
Your “seatbelt-layer” should not longer be affected by any bones.
Otherwise it’s all about “Layering” - moving every layer in the right position.
If you like have a look at my file “Walk in the Park”

The “Foreground-Layer” with its sublayers might give you some useful information.
