UPLOAD TO TWITTER/X SETTINGS.

Post by hammerjammer »

Hello Everyone

So I would like to make short animations in response to questions or comments to post on Twitter/X and then upload them...

So as one would do, I export the finished animation out of MOHO(14.2) to my desktop or some folder.
Then drag and drop into my Twitter post. BUT TWITTER/X rejects them saying something about being in the wrong format...
I dont understand all that format stuff very well and cannot for the life of me figure out what setting(format) that Twitter is happy with.
Well thats not etirely true, I have gotten one to work but the colors are messed up. I dont remember what I did that time But with the color messed up I see it as still not working.
Therefore I dont know what setting to make the file to be exported in so that Twitter/X is happy with it..

Does any have this problem as well or does anyone know what settings to use for this?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP.

Of course you don't want to hear this, but:
Don't post on X any more. If you do, you support a nazi billionaire.

I recommend Bluesky for the time being.

Technical: different platforms have different demands at formats, but most are happy with GIF and MP4. A file size limit may exist.

Nothing wrong with posting on X. You'll have a larger audience than some partisan competitor.

Thank you...

I think I have tried all the options that Moho offers but none of them worked... I have been posting to X for a number of years now, BUT I ALWAYS HAVE TO CONVERT THEM IN THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE. Its a pain in the butt to do the extra steps, So I finally figured I would ask for help thinking I was just missing something. GIFs work But only if they are under 15M in size, Which I rarely manage to do.

I will just keep converting them.

THANKS for your help.

Bluesky wouldn't appreciate my brand of funny. So Thats probably not an option...

As for the format on X, X requires either a GIF or MP4. I have tried all the output options that Moho has to offer to no avail. I thought maybe I was just missing something. GIF files work sometime but only if I keep them under 15M in size, Which I rarely do... So I will just continue converting them in a 3rd party software.

Thank you.

Unlike other platforms, X hides their help pages very good. I've found this: https://help.x.com/en/using-x/media-stu ... ary-upload which specifies some file formats.

You'll probably need something like Handbrake to get the bitrate low enough for X.
Moho doesn't offer any settings for bitrate, so that may be where your Moho exports are not complying with X's requirements.

A large variety of comedy would likely trigger the delicate sensibilities of those (fascists) who hide away on the echo chamber of BlueSky.

Don't mind Slow, he's a German who buys into a lot corporate media propaganda.

Wow I couldn't find those format specs on X...

Thanks so much. It seems to me that the bitrate is the problem with Moho outputs.
Not a problem though, Converting the files in third party software will just have to be another step in process.

Thanks for your help.

My X channel is of a political nature and I do understand the media propaganda stuff very well.
I make animations as a hobby and have never been very good at it. I have no artistry skills and just recreate others artwork and then animate them, however I love the process of making them, I'm not sure how to explain why that is but I enjoy myself. I have not watched TV or watched a movie in about 11 years now. So animation is something I do just for fun and to take a break away from politics, although my politics and fun DO cross paths quit offen. LOL

Anyway, I appreciate Both your and Slows help. I do know Slow has been on here for many years and has a wealth of Anime studio and Moho experience. He even has answered some of my other questions in the past with great help. So for this reason and out of respect and admiration of the animation community I'm leaving the political stuff outside of this forum...

On a side note. I uploaded a Minion file project many years ago that I was just messing around with and Selgin(Victor P) himself made corrections' to my file and praised my rig... THAT was a 15 seconds of fame moment for me... LOL.... I love watching Victors videos and highly respect his and many others work.

Thank you for your help and have a great Christmas.

That tells me all I need to know about your politics.
Glad you're having fun with it... and Moho.
Thank you for your help and have a great Christmas.
