Using the manipulate bone tool on the beach ball will only rotate it, I can't move it up or down.
Same problem with Frank's spine....when using Manipulate Bones it will only rotate around a fixed point. I don't understand because when I installed Moho yesterday and it was working as it should..ie manipulating his spine moved him up and down and also affected leg movement. Now he is only moving in circles. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling moho..thinking I had accidentally reset something I wasn't supposed to but it hasn't fixed the problem.

If you want to move/translate it use Translate Bone tool, if you want to manipulate it (rotate a bone or a chain of bones using Inverse Kinematics) use Manipulate Bone tool, that's all... Nevertheless, be sure you are in the correct frame (not Zero frame) to make Translate Bone tool works as you can expects... GOOD LUCK!

Let’s say go to frame 12 or any
Select the Beach Ball Bone Layer
Choose the Manipulate Bone Tool to rotate the ball
Choose the Translate Bone Tool to move the ball
Go to frame 18 or any
Select the Frank Skeleton Layer
Choose the Manipulate Bone Tool and move the leg-bones around
They are children of the Head-Bone or Root-Bone and move easily
The Head- or Root-Bone does not move it just rotates
Choose the Translate Bone Tool and move the Head Bone (Root Bone) around
all its children (the leg bones) will move with it
It is very important to understand the relationship between root-bones and its children
especially in animation when you want to move whole characters around
If you would move Frank’s leg bones with the Translate Bone Tool
you just distort the leg (Maybe even desirable in certain situations)
Please have a close look again at Tutorial 1.5 to become familiar with these Tools.
