How to make dotted/dashed lines in Moho Pro
With After Effects, it's easily achievable, but in Moho, as far as I can see, we need to create a brush for the same effect. Additionally, it results in a tedious outcome. It's 2024, and I couldn't find any recent topics regarding this. I found a couple of threads from a while ago suggesting using a brush, but is there any development in this area?

A simple dotted line can be done easily with the Scatter Brush. However, dashes will not follow the line with that tool.

it lacks such a basic feature! its not meant for that precise motion graphics as we see in After effects. M I right?
Re: How to make dotted/dashed lines in Moho Pro
It's not difficult to make technical brushes for Moho. I made these three just now, in a couple of minutes...

That said, while Moho can be used to create tech-art and motion graphics, it's really not meant for that. For this type of graphic, I think it makes more sense to use After Effects and/or Adobe Illustrator, which were created for this purpose.
This is because these Moho brushes I made are not a true vector-based 'dashes'; they are bitmap images applied as a repeating brush texture. I'm confident they will work well enough for simple motion-graphics, but they won't scale like pure vector art in Ae would. Also, I noticed the pattern repeats at the points in the curve, so they might not always repeat seamlessly. (I don't think Moho's brushes were meant to repeat in regular intervals like this.)
I find Moho is very strong at doing things that are difficult or impossible to do in Ae alone (i.e., bone-rigged animation and FBF,) and I find the two complement each other nicely when used together. My typical workflow is to use Moho to create the stuff I can't do in Ae, then then import the animation to Ae and add the parts that would be difficult to do in Moho.
Hope this helps.
