bone dynamics problems.

Post by hammerjammer »

I'm so confused. I have used bone dynamics many times before, so its not a new concept to me.

HOWEVER, they no longer work in ANY file they are used in...
Older files, newer files and a test file I just created are not DOING ANYTHING. DEAD AND LIFELESS.

What in tarnation's is going on here? I'm I missing something? Did I forget to activate something? Did I turn something off by accident?

Its very frustrating. Any thought on what is happen would be GREATLY appreciated.

I just made a quick test in 14.3, and it works perfectly, have you tried to re-install Moho, as you seem to have quite a bit of issues?

That idea has crossed my mind. I just cant find my Serial number.

AND I'm not sure if that going to mess with my number of installs or not. I think maybe I'm supposed to deactivate it first.

I DONT KNOW

There is a show serial number function in the help menu, if you have a legit copy of Moho, your SN will show there!

Yes, Thank you. My copy is legit and I did find the S/N.

I uninstalled 14.3 then re-installed it fresh.

Bone dynamics is still not working. I'm at a loss for what to do now.

Thanks for the help though.

Do you have a simplified file (with only the necessary bones) you can post?

OK, I can post the Sample file I was playing with. Just for testing. Nothing fancy just a test.

BUT I have no idea how to do that... Well maybe I do. Im assuming its thru some sort of file sharing app or something like that. What are most on here using as to avoid compatibility problems? I feel like such a rookie right now. LOL. The last time I did this was probably 14 years ago.

Is Animation > Enable Bone Dynamics switched on?

I know that sounds obvious, but I had to ask to be sure. If the option was switched off previously, it will stay off until it's switched on again...even after Moho is quit and relaunched.

YES its on. You can see it for yourself in the simple test file I uploaded here in the thread. Created in Moho 14.3, But its not working for me.

I just loaded that file and the carrot stem is wiggling just fine with no modifications to the file, so the problem is clearly on your end, I'd contact support if I were you, maybe they have a script or a more technical way to help pinpoint the problem!

The dynamic bone works here, in v14.3.

So the file itself is working. I can only guess that it's something with your install or computer. I don't know if an underpowered GPU could cause dynamics to not display.
Does rendering an animation show the dynamic?

I'm using the same PC that I have for a couple of years now. Everything worked before. I dont what changed. I thought that maybe there was something I turned off, but there is nothing to turn off. Other than the obvious, and it is ON.

Thanks for input. I hate this ghost in the machine type stuff.

I will figure it out sooner or later... I hope.

I doubt that it has to do with the system per se, Moho requirements are very low...
