I've been working on other projects myself. Men with 3D printing and doing Braille embossing. Right now I'm on a winter vacation. I have my motorcycle and it's pulling a small camper that keeps falling apart on me. When I get home in the springtime I've decided to take some of my savings and put it towards doing a 2d animation. I think I'm going to sink a lot of money and this project I've done several times but never finished. We'll see what happens.

I'm doing well. I've been retired for some time now. Currently I'm on a winter vacation from New York headed south. I have my Harley and a large camper trailer that I'm pulling with it. Currently I'm at a rest area that says no overnight parking. But the cops haven't told me to move it so I guess I'm going to get the rest of the night..

Tomorrow I'm going to a bike event. I've been doing them every weekend for about the last month. One was a toy run Pennsylvania. Then I went on a poker run at the outer Banks in North Carolina. The following week I road and another toy run that started and ended at shipwreck Harley-Davidson in North Carolina. Tomorrow I'll be doing a short run in Fayetteville North Carolina. After that I'll be in South Carolina for a few weeks.

2 days ago I had to stay at a hotel because of a rain and windstorm. But most of the time I crash out at rest areas, truck stops or very cheap campgrounds that are run by the state forest service. To take showers I go to planet fitness. I have a black card so I can go to anyone in the country.

In a couple of months I'll be back home. And when I get home I'm going to restart an old old project and throw a few dollars at it. I've made a few friends over the years in the 2d animation industry and I'm going to ask a couple of people to help me out.

Yep, the whole gang is here, and I see that Victor is still in charge, very cool! :D
Hey no worries! Forgot to turn on notifications for replies. Doing good! Been working in Blender for the past year for work and using Moho when/ where I can - mostly using it for motion graphics.

Yes, with the original team back at the helm Moho is heading in a very good direction! Glad to have you back and looking to see what you do with the new additions and features!

I agree, I installed 14.3, and man this is a nice update, it looks like Moho development is going strong, on my side, as I get older, I want to work on my own stuff more and more, so I am looking into making a Web series, maybe going the crowdfunding route for it, I will post new tutorials as well, interesting times ahead for sure!

Hello Mister Gilles Charbonneau. :D

I'm new to this forum, but I'm happy that you announce that you're back.
Why ?
Because I saw your previous tutorials, and I can say that they were well crafted !
I can't wait to see what tutorials you will do with the new version of Moho.

P.S. are you french talking ? Because your name has a french look. :D

Hello calogiga, and thanks for the kind words! I am glad that you found my tutorials useful, also, what topics would you like me to cover in future tutorials, advanced rigging, animation, scripting, I don't see much intermediate to advanced animation tutorials, is that a topic of interest to you, or is there a topic that you think is not covered enough in existing tutorials ??? 🤔

And yes, I am a French Canadian, born and raised in Montreal, one of the largest French-speaking cities in the world !!! :D

Hey, thanks for the offer. :) :)
I am interested in any tutorials that would help me progress, as a beginner. What concerns me is finding tutorials that start from nothing and then end up with a complete finalized animation.
"Head turn" seem a little complicated to me to begin with.

But for example : drawing, creating, rigging and animating a simple character, like the ones found at RightSide Creations, would be really cool. Always starting from a new file.

This one is so simple and beautifull :

This character is very cute, but still too complicated for me to create it from start to finish.
I only started with Moho 10 days ago...

Yeah... I'm "eating" a lot of tutorials for this moment... (the official course too)
Always listening, analysing, then trying to reproduce what I saw on YT.
I'm learning, but very slowly.
The problem is that even if you follow a step by step tutorial, you see that your result always differs from what the presenter shows you. And worse: sometimes, we don't really see what he's doing or what he's clicking on.
I have to say that GreenDog's latest tutorial is probably the best I've seen so far: clear, concise and with practical exercises.

I hope to find other similar tutorials, with the same precision, but concerning a complete workflow, from the first drawing to a small final animation...

Then I suggest you watch the basics course again, Chad is a very capable instructor, and he explains every tool in depth, and shows how to create a basic character, drawing, rigging, and animation, it's all there, and it comes with files, beginners tutorials are only meant to teach you the basics, from there you develop your own workflow, I learned Moho at a time when there were no tutorials at all, yeah, I am old, just watch and practice with the basics tutorials, and practice, practice, and practice some more, and you'll get there eventually, I have been animating for 45+ years, and I am still learning, if you keep waiting for the perfect tutorial, you will never get anything done!

Yes, you are right.
Practicing is the best thing to do. And I'm taking advantage of my vacation to discover this wonderful software.
It's true that I have already noticed that I now have a better understanding of the tutorials that I watched at the beginning. Without realizing it, I am progressing.

And if you keep practising you will get better and better, there are no shortcuts to become an animator, only hard work!

Okay, I have been looking around, and I see that there are way more Moho tutorials out there, especially on YouTube, I love making tutorials, but the Lostmarble YT channel has a ton of great tutorials now, including a full course for beginners, and quite a bit of Moho users are making Moho tutorials as well, so I was wondering if it was worth the effort of making more of the same thing ??? 🤔

The Lost Marble Moho full course, for those who missed it...
