Move audio file in timeline?
I have added an Audio file to the timeline and I want to change the frame of where it starts to play. Is there a way to move it in the timeline once I have imported it? Currently, my method is to reimport it with the timeline indicator set to the frame where I want it to begin.

Re: Move audio file in timeline?
go to the sequencer and drag the layer along -- the green pointer in the timeline shows where its logical "frame 1" is.
Re: Move audio file in timeline?
Of course! I had forgotten about that tab. Thanks!
Re: Move audio file in timeline?
I need to shift an audio track 300 frames to the left precisely and preferably in a single click.
Is there a way to do this without manually dragging it in the Sequencer, please?

Unfortunately not (AFAIK) - this is one of my ongoing regrets.

Re: Move audio file in timeline?
select the layer you want to move.
put the playhead where you want it to start - move it or type the frame number in the frame box.
Animation > Set Layer Start Time

Re: Move audio file in timeline?
Woah, never used that!
OK, but this only works forward - I had a scene recently where I had to move lots of layers to different positions to the left of # 0, this would not help.
Best really would be a little window in the sequencer view indicating the number of frames something is moved, with the option to type it in (with negative numbers possible).

There is also the SS - Layer Sequencer add-on script that allows you to move the Layer anywhere (relative or absolute).
